Jordana Heller, PhD, is an R&D leader, cognitive scientist, and communication expert, with 20 years in machine learning, AI, and communication research. As the founder of Engineering Is Human, Jordana helps leaders and teams across engineering, product, design, and data grow their influence, effectiveness, and satisfaction at work.

Before founding Engineering Is Human, Jordana was a Director of Engineering at Textio, where she led full-stack R&D teams using data and ML/AI to interrupt bias in performance feedback and recruiting, in real time. Jordana earned her PhD in computational psycholinguistics and cognitive science from Northwestern University. 

Jordana is passionate about supporting R&D professionals as they navigate complex organizations, strengthen collaboration across disciplines, and grow into leadership with greater confidence and impact.
